For a Mexico-only holiday, compare the country offers first. For onward travel, check every border: a Latin America package is not automatically a USA–Mexico plan or a complete Central America plan. Today's checked Horizon catalog also has an unusual detail worth checking before you buy: its Latin America bundle includes Mexico and costs slightly less than its Mexico-only bundle at the same data tiers.

Mexico country plans: 5, 10 and 20 GB
Each allowance below is total data for 30 days.

Horizon costs €0.28 more than Nomad at 5 GB and €6.03 more at 10 GB (€19.53 − €13.50). Airalo is also cheaper than Horizon at 10 and 20 GB; Saily is cheaper at 20 GB. Choose from the whole offer, including the published network details and the data you expect to use. Horizon's instant support does not change those price differences.
For a larger allowance, Airalo lists 50 GB / 30 days at €40.50, while Horizon's Mexico plan is 50 GB / 30 days at €96.95. That is a substantial difference for a traveller who needs that much data. We have not substituted an unlimited package for either fixed allowance.
Horizon Mexico or Horizon Latin America?
The checked Latin America selection offers 5 GB / 30 days at €9.69, 10 GB / 30 days at €19.19 and 20 GB / 30 days at €38.19. Its 10 GB price is €0.34 below Horizon Mexico; its 20 GB price is €0.70 below.
That regional bundle includes Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, El Salvador and Uruguay. It can be worth considering even for Mexico alone at these quoted prices, and is a useful candidate if Brazil or another included destination is next. Check the regional product's current network information as well as its price: country inclusion does not prove it uses the same network arrangement as the Mexico product.
The regional 10 GB pool is shared across the itinerary. Crossing a border does not reset it. Separate country purchases provide separate allowances, each with its own validity. Horizon instant support can help explain the current product details before purchase.
Border crossings the regional plan does not cover
The checked Horizon Latin America list does not include the USA or Canada. It also excludes Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. A Mexico-to-Guatemala journey therefore needs another suitable purchase for Guatemala; the same reasoning applies to a USA crossing.

Networks and specific coverage exclusions
Horizon's Mexico catalog lists Movistar Mexico and Altan Mexico. Nomad lists AT&T and Movistar; Airalo's data offer lists Movistar and AT&T. These are provider-published details, not our own field tests. A network name does not guarantee reception at every hotel, rural stop or road section.
Holafly's Mexico page lists Movistar Mexico and Telcel and specifically excludes Holbox Island, Contoy Island, Chiquilá, Ojo de Agua and some sections of the Playa–Mérida federal highway. Travellers visiting those places should check alternatives before purchase. We have not assumed that a different provider necessarily covers them.

Unlimited phone data and laptop sharing
Holafly's official USD duration table lists 7 days of unlimited Mexico data at US$23.90. Its product page permits 1 GB per day of hotspot sharing and explains that temporary network fair-use speed reductions can apply. Keep that separate from fixed 30-day EUR packages: the allowance, validity and currency are all different.
Horizon's fixed plans allow free hotspot sharing without a separate daily hotspot cap; every connected device uses the purchased total. Nomad supports tethering but notes that stability can depend on the device and network. Airalo permits hotspot where the device and network support it. Saily's Mexico technical details state that hotspot use has no restrictions or limitations.
