Egypt eSIM comparison: country or regional data?
Популярные пакеты: Египет

A Cairo-to-Luxor journey and a week at a Red Sea resort can use the same Egypt country eSIM. The useful questions are how much data you need away from Wi-Fi, how long you stay, and whether another country is genuinely part of the trip. Buying a regional label does not improve reception within Egypt by itself.

Prices checked 21 September 2026. Among the matched 5, 10 and 20 GB / 30-day offers below, Horizon has the lowest listed prices. Horizon includes instant support and free hotspot sharing. Network availability and service terms still differ between providers.

Egypt plans with matching data and validity

These are total allowances for 30 days, not daily data limits.

For 10 GB, Horizon is €16.43 below Nomad (€24.39 − €7.96), the next-lowest price in this checked set. Moving from Horizon's 5 GB to 10 GB costs another €3.89. Neither calculation is evidence of faster service or identical coverage.

Cairo and Luxor, or a resort stay?

For a trip with daily transfers, maps, tickets and photo uploads, estimate mobile use across every travel day. Download important bookings and maps before leaving a stable internet connection. A resort stay may involve less mobile data if suitable Wi-Fi is available, but do not assume the hotel connection will meet your needs.

Check your own phone's recent data use before choosing an allowance. Backups, video and a laptop on hotspot can change the total much more than the city name. On a ten-day trip, 5 GB averages 0.5 GB per day; 10 GB averages 1 GB per day. These are planning averages, not limits imposed on either day.

Horizon's checked 5 GB and 10 GB Egypt plans cost the same with 7-day or 30-day validity. The 30-day option therefore gives more room for a delayed return at the same quoted price. A larger allowance does not extend the expiry date. See the Egypt buying guide for the broader preparation checklist.

When does a regional Egypt plan make sense?

For Egypt alone, the country plan costs less than the checked regional alternatives at 10 GB / 30 days:

  • Egypt: €7.96, covering Egypt.
  • North Africa: €10.59, covering Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.
  • Africa: €13.09, covering Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Réunion, Tunisia and South Africa.
  • Middle East: €15.50, covering Egypt, Israel, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

North Africa adds €2.63 to the Egypt-only price. It is worth comparing if, for example, Morocco or Tunisia is an actual next stop. The Middle East option adds €7.54 and excludes the UAE and Jordan in the checked catalog. Regional names are not complete country lists.

A regional 10 GB allowance is shared across its included destinations. Separate country purchases each have their own data and validity, so compare the total cost for the amounts you will actually use. The Middle East comparison and Morocco provider comparison can help with that next step. Horizon instant support can explain the current included-country list before purchase.

Networks and an unlimited alternative

Horizon's Egypt catalog lists Orange Egypt and e& Egypt. Airalo lists Vodafone; Nomad lists Orange and Vodafone. These are published network details, not independent tests of reception in a hotel, on a Nile itinerary or along a desert road. Check your actual stops and keep essential information offline.

Holafly's Egypt product page lists 7 days of unlimited phone data at US$36.50 in its USD duration table. It names Orange (MobiNil), allows 1 GB per day of hotspot sharing, and describes possible temporary speed reductions under network fair-use policies. The hotspot allowance is therefore 7 GB over seven days, subject to each day's limit.

We keep that USD unlimited offer separate from the 30-day fixed-data EUR comparison. It serves a different usage pattern: heavy use on one phone, with a separate limit for connected devices.

Hotspot and instant support

All Horizon plans include free personal hotspot sharing. Your phone and connected devices draw from the same purchased allowance, without a separate daily hotspot cap. Nomad supports tethering and notes that stability can depend on the device and local network. Airalo permits it where the device and network support it. Saily's Egypt page states that hotspot use has no restrictions or limitations.

Horizon includes instant support for installation, data settings and connection questions. Check device compatibility, make sure your phone is unlocked and install over a stable internet connection before departure. Follow the activation instructions supplied with your plan. Contact Horizon support if you need help matching a plan to your journey.

Sources and price method

This is a Horizon-authored comparison. Research date: 21 September 2026. Editorial owner: Lurian Kasumaj. We checked the live Horizon catalog and the official provider pages linked above. EUR amounts were displayed in EUR; we have not converted USD prices. No sale label was observed on the quoted fixed-data offers. Coupons, first-order deals, subscriptions and future account rewards are excluded; Saily's 3% credits do not reduce the listed purchase price.

Prices and terms can change. Check the linked product and checkout before buying. This research does not measure network performance or support response times. For the current Egypt selection with instant support, see Horizon Egypt eSIMs.
