The length of your Kosovo visit can change which eSIM is the better buy. A low price for 15 days is not a like-for-like alternative to a 30-day allowance. A quick stop with light use can also cost less with a smaller competitor package than with Horizon's larger starting allowance.

Compare 5 GB and 10 GB with the expiry date visible

Against the matching Airalo 15-day offers, Horizon costs €6.01 less at 5 GB and €7.51 less at 10 GB. Nomad and Saily give you a longer period at the quoted prices, so those differences should not be described as savings on an identical plan.
Horizon's 20 GB package costs €29.99 and lasts 10 days. It may suit higher consumption over a shorter visit, but buying more gigabytes here does not buy more time. There is no Horizon Kosovo 30-day package in the checked catalog.
A short stop can cost less with a smaller plan
For light use, Saily lists 1 GB / 7 days at €5.49, and Nomad lists 1 GB / 7 days at €6.97. Airalo lists 1 GB / 3 days at €4.50. Those are cheaper purchases than Horizon's 3 GB / 5 days at €9.99, with smaller allowances and different validity.
For a five-day stop needing close to 3 GB, Horizon's five-day option fits that amount; Saily's 3 GB / 30 days is €13.49, and Nomad's 3 GB / 30 days is €14.81. The extra validity has value if your dates change or you return later. Estimate your own use instead of buying a larger package just because it has a lower cost per gigabyte.
A month in Kosovo needs a different calculation
If you need 5 GB spread across a month, compare the 30-day offers directly: Nomad €19.17, Saily €20.49 and Airalo €20.50. One Horizon 5 GB purchase expires after 15 days even if data remains.
Two separate Horizon 5 GB / 15-day purchases cost €27.98 and provide two separate 5 GB allowances. They do not create one flexible 10 GB / 30-day pool, and the second purchase is not an automatic renewal. Check activation timing and the available installation or reuse method before planning back-to-back use. A single Nomad or Saily 10 GB / 30-day plan costs €30.49 and avoids splitting the allowance into two validity periods.
For more data over the full month, Airalo lists 20 GB / 30 days at €44.00. Compare that with the actual length and allocation of any alternative, rather than calling two short packages equivalent to one month-long product. Is Holafly Kosovo available?
On the research date, the purchase area of Holafly's Kosovo page explicitly said the destination was unavailable. We therefore exclude it from the purchasable price list, even though generic product text and pricing remained elsewhere on the page. Check the official page again if you are considering Holafly later.
Add Kosovo separately to a Balkan trip
Horizon's Balkans 10 GB / 30 days costs €11.68 and covers Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. Kosovo is not included.
You can add Kosovo through a separate purchase with its own allowance and cost. Adding Kosovo 5 GB / 15 days at €13.99 makes the combined purchase €25.67. The Balkan 10 GB and Kosovo 5 GB stay separate, with different validity periods; unused data does not transfer between them.

Networks, hotspot and instant support
Horizon's Kosovo catalog lists Vala; Nomad lists IPKO, and Airalo lists Vala plus another network. These are published network details, not independent reception tests. Check the places you intend to visit and keep essential maps and booking details offline.
Horizon includes free hotspot sharing from the purchased allowance, without a separate daily hotspot cap. Nomad supports tethering subject to device and network conditions; Airalo permits it where those support it. Saily's Kosovo technical details state no hotspot restrictions or limitations.
Horizon offers instant support for setup, data settings and connection questions. Check device compatibility, confirm the phone is unlocked and install using a stable internet connection. Contact Horizon support if the trip spans several purchases or countries.
