Buy for your usage, even on a short break
The 30-day label is the plan’s validity, not a minimum trip length. For a shorter stay you can still choose the cheaper suitable allowance and leave unused data at the end. At the checked Horizon prices, moving from 5 GB to 10 GB adds €2.28. That difference may be useful if you plan to upload photos or use hotspot frequently.
Look at your phone’s mobile-data history before estimating. Social video and automatic photo backups can consume far more than maps and text messages. Saving maps, reservations and media offline makes a smaller pool easier to manage, but no fixed allowance is enough for every traveler.
Mainland, islands and onward borders
For travel between Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, compare the Spain country products. If you are visiting an island or an outlying territory, verify that exact destination and the available networks in the live product details. Do not infer island coverage from a map graphic or a broad country label alone.
A journey onward to Portugal or France needs coverage in another country. Compare the Europe plan against the total price of separate country purchases. A side trip to Morocco is a different coverage decision again; Horizon’s Europe list does not include Morocco.
Sharing data with a second device
Horizon supports hotspot on every plan, with shared use deducted from your purchased pool. A 10 GB allowance can therefore serve your phone and a laptop, but remains 10 GB in total. This is useful for occasional work when you want to know the total amount you bought.
Unlimited offers need their own comparison. A handset allowance can be unlimited while tethering is capped; the checked Holafly Spain page advertises 1 GB per day for sharing. The suitable product depends on where the data will be used, not just the largest word on the product card.
Make arrival less complicated
Check device compatibility, install with reliable internet and label the eSIM clearly. At your destination, select it for mobile data and follow its roaming instructions.
