Build the comparison around the Austrian route: a weekend in Vienna needs a different allowance from rail days through Salzburg, Innsbruck and Graz. Confirm that the listing names Austria, supports the unlocked phone you will carry and explains validity, tethering and the activation trigger. If the itinerary continues to Bratislava, Munich or another neighbour, look for that country explicitly instead of extending an Austria-only label by assumption. Compare the complete checkout amount, then store the receipt and installation directions away from the handset.

Do the installation where you can reopen the purchase message, preferably before heading for Vienna Airport or a long ÖBB journey. The product terms—not a country-wide rule—say whether its clock begins during installation, on activation, at first network use or at another defined event. Check its status, chosen data line and the specified roaming, APN and network-selection values, using airplane mode or a restart only when directed.
