Does a France or Europe eSIM automatically cover Réunion?
Not automatically. Réunion must be named in the product’s destination list. Réunion is one of the six destinations in Horizon’s current Africa regional package, but that fact does not add mainland France, Mauritius or any other island.
What should I save before travelling to Cilaos?
Save the route via Saint-Louis, the Cilaos lodging entrance and the host or driver contact. Check current road information before departure because a fixed journey time or an always-open road is not promised.
Can I drive to my accommodation in Mafate?
No. The tourism authority describes Mafate as having walking access, so the car destination and the overnight lodging are not the same point. Confirm the appropriate trailhead, lodging instructions and return plan with the organiser before setting out.
Will the plan guarantee reception on every trail?

When does validity start, and is a local number included?
The first successful connection to a supported network in Réunion starts the selected validity; installation or a failed attempt does not. The eSIM is data-only and has no local number. On a compatible dual-SIM phone you may keep your home line, whose provider may charge for its use.
