Maps and messages are lighter than video or laptop work, while hotspot devices share the same pool. Compare the live packages by this usage, total validity, Peru in the territory list, phone compatibility and the amount shown at checkout.

Buy through Peru's official state ticket platform and verify the selected circuit, date, entry time and identity details. Keep that ticket offline with the passport used for the booking. Train, ground transfer and shuttle arrangements are separate, so save each confirmation, meeting point and return segment as well. Mobile data helps retrieve copies; it does not alter admission conditions.

Install it at home, but keep the Horizon profile disabled until you arrive. Setup alone leaves the purchased validity untouched. In Peru, select Horizon for mobile data and enable roaming on that line; the first successful connection to a supported local network activates the package and begins its term. There is no separate activation control. If connection fails, use Wi-Fi to check the guide without deleting the profile.

It carries data and does not include a Peruvian phone number or standard SMS. Your existing WhatsApp account stays on its registered number, so hotels, drivers and tours can use the same chat. A compatible dual-line phone may keep the usual SIM active, with roaming charges set by its carrier. Hotspot sharing is free on every Horizon plan. A laptop or travel companion consumes the Peru allowance with your phone.

Compare each leg using the current schedule and full door-to-door chain. A flight adds airport transfer, check-in and pickup; a bus or train ends at its named terminal and may require another connection. Save both candidate arrivals, the next lodging entrance and any timed ticket before choosing, because timings can change.

For Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Arequipa and Puno within one country, compare the Peru plans. The Latin America product instead lists Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, El Salvador and Uruguay, so it can suit an onward included destination. Bolivia and Paraguay are absent. In particular, a Peru–Bolivia journey is not fully covered by that regional list and needs another solution for Bolivia.

Use available Wi-Fi at Jorge Chávez and open the setup guide supplied with your Peru purchase. Confirm that the profile is enabled and selected for mobile data, then check validity and remaining allowance. Follow that plan's exact instructions for roaming, network selection and APN; restart only if the guide directs it. A dropout in the mountains, a canyon or on Lake Titicaca does not establish its cause: reception depends on the plan, device, network and exact location. Recheck where it is safe, and contact support over Wi-Fi with the order reference, phone model and problem location if it persists.
