Which mobile networks does the Slovenia eSIM use?
It connects to Slovenia's main carriers, Telekom and Telemach, both of which run 5G in the cities and 4G more widely. Your phone picks the best available signal automatically, so you get fast data in the centres and solid 4G as you travel between towns.
Will I have signal in the Julian Alps and the caves?
Coverage is strong in city centres and along main routes, but it naturally varies in remote mountain areas and drops underground, such as inside the big caves. For day trips to the alps, the lakes or Triglav National Park, download your maps offline before you set out so you are not relying on signal in the high or remote spots.
I am visiting other Balkan or European countries too. Is this the right plan?
This is a Slovenia-only plan, so it is best when your whole trip stays inside the country. If you are crossing into neighbouring countries on the same journey, a regional Balkan or Europe eSIM will cover several countries on one plan and save you swapping eSIMs at each border.
When should I set up the eSIM before landing at Ljubljana airport?
