A trip through Morocco and Egypt needs a package that includes both countries. Adding Tunisia changes the shortlist again: the word “Africa” in a product name does not tell you whether Tunisia is included. Start with your destinations, then compare the data allowance and price.
This comparison is written by Horizon, which sells one of the products below. We checked the listed offers on 20 September 2026. The coverage differences are central to the comparison; the products are not interchangeable.
Four destinations in the North Africa package
The current Horizon North Africa package includes Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia. Libya and Mauritania are outside this selection. It is a four-country product, not a promise of service everywhere within a geographical definition of North Africa.
Within those four destinations, the regional allowance can cover separate stops during its validity. Crossing a border does not give you a fresh data pool or restart the clock. Check the package's activation instructions and choose a duration that reaches the end of the final visit.
Prices and coverage must be read together
All four offers below list 5 GB with 30-day validity. Horizon and Airalo were displayed in euros; Saily was displayed in Swiss francs. We have kept the original currencies and have not calculated an exchange-rate saving.
- Horizon North Africa: Displayed price: €5.39; Relevant coverage difference: Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia.
- Horizon Africa selection: Displayed price: €6.69; Relevant coverage difference: Those four, plus South Africa and Réunion.
- Airalo Hello Africa: Displayed price: €36.50; Relevant coverage difference: 36 listed destinations; includes Algeria and Egypt, but not Morocco or Tunisia.
- Saily Africa: Displayed price: CHF 40.49; Relevant coverage difference: 35 listed destinations; includes Algeria, Egypt and Morocco, but not Tunisia.
Horizon North Africa had the lower euro price in this comparison, with a much narrower destination list than Airalo. Airalo or Saily may suit a broader itinerary, but neither of these checked regional lists solves the Tunisia leg, and Airalo’s checked list also excludes Morocco. Check current lists before buying: a provider can sell an individual Tunisia package without including Tunisia in this particular regional product.
Horizon also listed 10 GB / 30 days at €10.59 and 20 GB / 30 days at €20.99 for North Africa. These are public retail observations without coupons, rewards or subscription discounts. The final checkout and selected package terms take precedence over a dated article.
Why use a regional eSIM on this route?
The practical benefit is keeping one data allowance across included stops: messaging the next host, checking an arrival address or confirming a transfer without buying another country allowance for each leg. It does not guarantee reception during a desert excursion or inside every hotel.
For a single-country holiday, compare the relevant Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia or Algeria plan too. A regional product earns its place when the included destinations and duration fit your actual travel.
Horizon includes free hotspot sharing on all plans. Shared devices consume the same purchased data, so laptop work and video uploads may require more than occasional maps and messages. Save booking confirmations and transfer instructions offline before you leave the hotel Wi-Fi.
Keeping the eSIM for another trip
An eligible Horizon eSIM can accept supported additional packages through My eSIMs. That can be useful for a later visit outside this regional selection, but the new country is not added free to the North Africa allowance. It is another purchase with its own data, validity and eligibility.
Before departure, check device compatibility, install over a working connection using the setup guide, and review the chosen plan's network details. A data-only package should not be assumed to include a local phone number or ordinary calls and SMS.
