For a Seychelles trip, mobile data is most useful between the places where you already have a connection: an airport pickup on Mahé, a transfer to Praslin or directions to accommodation on La Digue. Save those details before moving on, especially when a ferry or another transfer has a fixed meeting point.

At this observation, Airalo's 5 GB offer provided more data and cost less than even Horizon's smallest listed package. For a price-led purchase, that strongly favours the alternative. A familiar app or installed profile should not obscure that difference. Recheck the current catalogue and checkout terms before spending money.
Think about the transfers, not just the resort
If your accommodation has suitable Wi-Fi, reserve it for photo backups and larger downloads. Use mobile data deliberately for host messages, transport confirmations and directions during outings. Island-hopping also means several addresses and meeting points; keep them offline in case the next arrival has no usable signal.
A data plan cannot establish coverage during a boat crossing or at a remote beach. Check the selected package's network information and ask your accommodation about local connectivity. Your phone, location and surrounding terrain affect reception.
A small allowance needs close attention
Background photo uploads can consume a small package before you notice. Review your phone's data settings, disable unwanted automatic downloads and check usage during the trip. Horizon's hotspot sharing is free, but any connected device draws from that same small allowance; a laptop update can therefore be a poor fit.
A local operator's visitor offer is another option to investigate, especially if you need local calls or a longer stay. Verify current availability and registration requirements directly. Do not assume a data-only eSIM gives you a Seychelles telephone number.
Check regional labels carefully
Horizon’s current Africa selection excludes Seychelles. You need a package that explicitly includes the destination. Adding a supported package to an eligible installed Horizon eSIM is a separate purchase, with its own price and allowance; it is not a way to make the Africa regional pool cover these islands.
