How eSIM works in Belize

Frequently asked questions
Are Belize City and Belmopan the same place?
No. Belmopan is the capital inland, while Belize City is on the coast. The international airport is at Ladyville outside Belize City. Check the address needed for your appointment or transfer rather than using the capital's name by default.
Does a Belize country plan also cover Guatemala or Mexico?
It does not. A journey west from the San Ignacio area towards Guatemala, or north towards Mexico, adds a different country. Check entry arrangements and organise the next country's data separately before crossing.
Can I depend on mobile data between the cayes?
Water crossings can take you beyond usable land-network reception. Save each ticket, accommodation address and host contact before boarding so a signal gap does not leave the arrival instructions inaccessible.
How do I avoid confusing the airport with the water-taxi terminal?
Keep them as two separate saved locations. The international airport is at Ladyville, while a Belize City water taxi requires its operator's terminal and check-in instructions. Arrange the road transfer explicitly with the driver or booking organiser.
Will the profile work inside caves or deep in the forest?
Do not rely on a mobile connection in those settings. Download bookings before the excursion and follow the guide's instructions. Reception around a nearby town or roadside stop does not establish service at a remote site.
Is the available allowance suitable for uploading reef videos?
