Airalo or Saily for Thailand? On 25 September 2026, the two were one cent apart for 10 GB over 30 days: €10.00 at Airalo and €9.99 at Saily. Horizon listed the same data and validity at €6.89.
Horizon's price was the lowest of the three in every row of the table below, from 1 GB to 10 GB. Against Airalo and Saily, the gap ran from €1.64 to €3.97 per plan. Horizon wrote this comparison and sells travel eSIMs.

Validity differs in two rows. Airalo's 1 GB plan lasts 3 days, against 7 days at Horizon and Saily. Airalo listed no 30-day 3 GB plan; its 7-day 3 GB plan cost €5.50.
What the difference adds up to
Here is how much less Horizon listed for each plan:
- 1 GB: €3.15 less than Airalo, whose 1 GB plan lasts 3 days instead of 7, and €1.64 less than Saily.
- 3 GB for 30 days: €3.31 less than Airalo's 7-day 3 GB plan, and €3.30 less than Saily.
- 5 GB for 30 days: €3.97 less than Airalo and €3.46 less than Saily.
- 10 GB for 30 days: €3.11 less than Airalo and €3.10 less than Saily.
Put another way, Horizon's 10 GB plan for 30 days cost less than the 30-day 5 GB plans at Airalo (€7.50) and Saily (€6.99).
Take a couple on a two-week trip, each with 10 GB for 30 days. Their two plans came to €13.78 at Horizon, €20.00 at Airalo and €19.98 at Saily. That is €6.22 less than Airalo and €6.20 less than Saily for the same data and validity.
Short trips: Horizon vs Airalo on 7-day plans
Saily listed no fixed-data 7-day plan above 1 GB for Thailand; its 3 GB, 5 GB and 10 GB plans last 30 days. So this table compares Horizon with Airalo only.
Horizon listed each of these 7-day plans at the same price as its 30-day plan of the same size. If your dates might stretch, the 30-day plan gives you more days for the same price.
Bangkok and the islands: light use or two weeks
Many first trips start with a few days in Bangkok, then head to the islands in the Gulf of Thailand or on the Andaman coast. On a route like that, your phone handles maps, ride-hailing, messages, ferry and hotel bookings, and photos sent home.
Light use: 3 GB for 30 days. This suits a light week, with hotel Wi-Fi most evenings and mobile data for directions, messages and bookings during the day. Horizon's 3 GB plan for 30 days was €2.19. Saily listed 3 GB for 30 days at €5.49, which is €3.30 more. Airalo listed no 30-day 3 GB plan; its 3 GB plan for 7 days was €5.50.
Two weeks: 10 GB for 30 days. For two weeks of city days, boat days and video calls home, 10 GB is a common choice. Horizon's 10 GB plan for 30 days was €6.89, against €10.00 at Airalo and €9.99 at Saily. The 30 days also leave room if your flight home moves.

How much data do you need?
A rough guide for Thailand:
- 1 GB: a short stopover, mostly maps and messages.
- 3 GB: a light week of maps, messages and bookings.
- 5 GB: a typical week with photo uploads and a few video calls.
- 10 GB: a typical two-week trip, or a busy week with plenty of photos and video calls.

Saily, by a small margin, when we checked on 25 September 2026. For 30 days, Saily listed €9.99 against Airalo's €10.00 for 10 GB, and €6.99 against €7.50 for 5 GB. Saily's 1 GB plan cost €2.49 for 7 days, while Airalo's cost €4.00 for 3 days. At 3 GB, Saily listed €5.49 for 30 days and Airalo listed no 30-day plan. On every plan compared here, Horizon's price was below both.
Is it really the same data?
Each row compares the same advertised data allowance, and the same validity except where the table says otherwise. Networks, coverage details and plan terms can differ between providers, so check the plan details on each site.
Are the Horizon prices here a promotion?
No. They are Horizon's regular public prices on 25 September 2026, and no promotion was active on the plans quoted.
Can I keep my phone number and WhatsApp?
You can keep your existing WhatsApp number and use Horizon for mobile data. Calls and SMS on your original number need your usual SIM or eSIM to remain enabled on a compatible dual-SIM phone. Your usual carrier’s roaming charges may still apply to that line.
