Nomad's 20 GB option gives 15 more days than the other listed 20 GB offers. That may matter more than headline cost per gigabyte on a five- or six-week trip. Horizon's larger 50 GB pool expires after 30 days, so it does not solve a longer stay by itself. Always compare both remaining data and the expiry date.

Bali and onward Indonesian islands
An Indonesia country label identifies the covered country; it is not a promise of reception on every island, rural road or ferry route. Horizon currently lists XL Axiata Indonesia and Smartfren. Check the local network details for your accommodation and onward itinerary, especially when reliable work connectivity matters.
You do not need to choose an international regional plan simply because you travel from Bali to another Indonesian island. You do need to verify service at your actual stops. Continuing to Singapore or Thailand
Horizon's checked Asia-Pacific package includes Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand, among its listed destinations. Its 10 GB / 30-day price was €25.87, compared with €6.41 for Indonesia alone: an extra €19.46 for the regional product.
That premium is worth evaluating only against your actual onward countries and data needs. Compare it with separate country purchases, each with its own allowance and validity. Unlimited on your phone versus working by hotspot
Holafly's Indonesia page lists 7 days of unlimited data at US$27.50 in its USD duration table. It specifies 1 GB per day for hotspot sharing and potential temporary network fair-use speed reductions. We keep this USD quote separate from the fixed 30-day EUR comparisons.
An unlimited phone allowance can be useful for heavy handset use, but its hotspot limit deserves attention if you plan to work from a laptop. Horizon supports hotspot on every plan; your phone and connected devices share the purchased allowance. Airalo allows tethering where the device and network support it. Nomad supports sharing but notes that stability can depend on the device and local network. Saily's country page lists no hotspot restrictions.

Check device compatibility, make sure your phone is unlocked, and install with a stable internet connection before departure.
