For 10 GB over 30 days in Kosovo, Horizon costs €18.19, Airalo €32.00 and Saily €30.49 in the offers checked on 6 October 2026. Horizon also offers 3 GB for 15 days at €8.49. Kudo's displayed 20 GB / 30-day plan costs €23.99 and gives you more data; Holafly's Kosovo purchase area says the destination is unavailable.
Those differences matter more than a headline starting price. A weekend in Prishtina, two weeks with family and a month sharing data with a laptop are different purchases. This guide explains what each offer buys, including where a competitor may fit better.
This is a Horizon-authored comparison, editorial owner Lurian Kasumaj. Prices below are a 6 October 2026 snapshot of public EUR offers, without coupons, subscriptions or future rewards. The linked product pages show current availability. We have not carried out comparative speed or support-response tests.
Kosovo eSIM plans at a glance
| Provider and plan | Total data | Validity | Price checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Horizon, smaller plan | 3 GB | 15 days | €8.49 |
| Horizon, longer stay | 10 GB | 30 days | €18.19 |
| Airalo | 10 GB | 30 days | €32.00 |
| Saily | 10 GB | 30 days | €30.49 |
| Kudo eSIM | 20 GB | 30 days | €23.99 |
| Holafly | Unlimited advertised | No purchasable duration verified | Unavailable when checked |
Only the three 10 GB / 30-day rows match in both allowance and duration. Their prices do not establish identical networks or reception. Kudo offers twice the data, so comparing its total with Horizon's does not make the packages equivalent.
Which Horizon Kosovo plan fits your stay?
The 3 GB / 15-day plan is the smaller purchase. It can suit maps, messages and occasional browsing when family or hotel Wi-Fi handles large downloads. Three gigabytes is the total for the plan, not a daily allowance. Check your phone's recent data use before choosing it for video calls or hotspot sharing.
The 10 GB / 30-day plan gives more room for a longer visit, photo sharing and using maps between Prishtina, Prizren and Peja. It costs €9.70 more than the smaller plan. You get an additional 7 GB and a longer validity period, but neither plan renews its data each day.
Validity begins with the first supported network connection in Kosovo. Buying or installing the eSIM does not start the period, and there is no first-use deadline. Once connected, the purchased validity applies even if data remains. For a route budget, see our 15-day and 30-day Kosovo planning guide.
Horizon compared with Airalo and Saily
For the same 10 GB / 30 days, the checked difference is €13.81 against Airalo (€32.00 − €18.19) and €12.30 against Saily (€30.49 − €18.19). These are differences in the upfront package price, without assigning a cash value to loyalty credit.
For a very short, light-use stop, a smaller competitor plan can mean a smaller bill. Airalo displays 1 GB / 3 days for €5.00; Saily displays 1 GB / 7 days for €5.49. Both cost less in total than Horizon's 3 GB plan but include one third of its data. Saily also lists 3 GB / 30 days for €13.49 if you need a small allowance spread across a month.
Saily's page states a 180-day activation period, after which an unused plan activates automatically. That differs from Horizon's no-first-use-deadline policy and matters if you buy far ahead of an uncertain trip. Read the activation instructions for the exact offer you choose.
Horizon compared with Kudo eSIM
Kudo's live Kosovo sales page displays 20 GB / 30 days at €23.99. That is €5.80 above Horizon's 10 GB price, with twice the data. If you expect to use most of 20 GB within the month, it deserves consideration: its displayed price works out to about €1.20 per GB, against about €1.82 per GB for Horizon's 10 GB plan. Buying extra data you will not use still increases your total spend.
Kudo's Kosovo FAQ says hotspot is supported and that this Kosovo eSIM is single-use and cannot be topped up. Do not assume its general app top-up messaging applies to this specific offer. Its FAQ also mentions an older 13 GB package; we have used the 20 GB package visible in the current purchase area.
Can you buy a Holafly Kosovo eSIM?
Holafly marked Kosovo unavailable when checked. Its page still contains unlimited-data descriptions and a price table, but those are not evidence of an available purchase. We therefore do not present the old displayed amounts as bookable offers or calculate savings against them.
If it returns to sale, check your exact duration, hotspot allowance and fair-use terms. An unlimited phone-data label alone does not tell you how much data you can share with a laptop.
Network, hotspot and help with Horizon
The checked Horizon catalogue lists IPKO Kosovo, with 4G/LTE and 5G support. The network available to your phone depends on your device, location and local conditions. A network listing is not a promise of uninterrupted reception on mountain roads or inside every building. Save essential routes and addresses offline.
Personal hotspot and tethering are free on every Horizon plan. Your phone and connected devices share the purchased allowance, without a separate daily hotspot cap. Horizon plans have no throttling. That policy does not guarantee a particular speed in every location.
Horizon offers 24/7 human support in all languages, with guaranteed instant replies. It also provides a full refund on request, used or unused, with no request deadline. Purchase verification and protection against duplicate refunds still apply; see the refund policy or contact support.
Does this plan also cover Albania or the Balkans?
The Horizon Kosovo plan covers Kosovo only. Horizon's current Europe, Balkans and Global bundles exclude Kosovo. A separate Kosovo purchase does not expand another plan's coverage or merge their data.
For Tirana → Prizren → Skopje, check every country before buying. Compare separate country plans with a regional offer that explicitly includes all three. The Kosovo coverage checklist explains how to read the country list.
Before you travel
- Check your exact phone model and region in the device compatibility guide, and confirm it is unlocked.
- Install over reliable Wi-Fi using the installation instructions. Keep the eSIM installed.
- On arrival, select the Kosovo eSIM for mobile data and enable roaming for that travel line as instructed. Turn off data roaming and automatic data switching on your home line if you do not want it carrying travel data.
- Keep your usual SIM for calls and SMS if needed. Horizon's plan is data-only; home-carrier call and SMS charges can still apply. WhatsApp and similar apps use the selected data connection.
Choose the allowance you expect to use and a validity period covering the whole visit. Then check the current total on the Kosovo plan page.
