Compare the same data allowance and validity

The fixed-data table uses total allowances with 30-day validity. Every figure is a public price in EUR. A larger allowance does not reset each day, and the price alone says nothing about reception.

At 10 GB / 30 days, Horizon costs €9.98; Nomad lists €16.89, a difference of €6.91. Compare all the rows before choosing: these are dated quotes for the listed offers, not a ranking of every provider or every possible discount.

A resort week is not the same as a touring holiday

A resort stay can leave larger downloads and backups for accommodation Wi-Fi, if that connection meets your needs. A touring holiday involves more time between reliable connections. Save hotel details, bookings and offline maps before an excursion rather than relying on a live search at every stop.

For an inland or desert excursion, ask about the route and communications arrangements separately. A country plan is not a guarantee of reception in remote areas. Estimate data for the phone and any shared device together, and compare a fixed pool with unlimited handset data only after deciding what you will actually use.

What the North Africa premium buys

Horizon’s North Africa plan costs €10.59 for 10 GB / 30 days, against €9.98 for Tunisia alone. The €0.61 difference adds Algeria, Egypt and Morocco alongside Tunisia in the checked country list. It does not mean every North African country is included.

For Tunisia alone, wider coverage may have no practical value. For an onward flight to an included destination within the same validity window, the shared pool can simplify the purchase. Count all travel days and remember that crossing the border does not reset either the remaining data or the expiry date.

Unlimited phone data and hotspot are different

Holafly publishes a 7-day unlimited plan at US$40.90 in its USD duration table. The same page specifies 1 GB per day for hotspot sharing. That can suit heavy use on the phone, but it is not unlimited laptop data. The allowance, duration and currency differ from the fixed EUR plans above, so no percentage saving is calculated against it.

A laptop or another device uses the purchased pool alongside the phone. Include photo backups, software updates and video meetings in your estimate. For an unlimited plan from another provider, read its current fair-use and hotspot terms before buying.

Check the phone before paying

Check device compatibility and that the phone is unlocked. Follow the installation guide over a stable internet connection before departure. Keep the eSIM installed while troubleshooting; deleting it is not a routine connection fix.

Validity does not start until your eSIM first connects to a supported mobile network at your destination.

Does 30-day validity mean I must stay for 30 days?

No. It is the expiry window after service begins, not a minimum stay. Compare the shorter plan’s actual price before assuming it costs less, and allow for your arrival and departure dates.

Is 10 GB a daily allowance?

No. In this comparison, 10 GB is the total pool for the plan. Sharing it with another device does not create a second allowance. Check your own recent mobile-data use and leave room for travel days.
