Compare Comoros eSIM data for family visits or work in Moroni, Mutsamudu and Fomboni. Count travel days between Grande Comore, Anjouan and Mohéli separately, and confirm supported island coverage before relying on the plan away from your arrival town.
Comoros travel is shaped by the island where you land and the island where your host lives. Moroni is on Grande Comore, Mutsamudu on Anjouan and Fomboni on Mohéli. There is no road connection between those islands, so a second address may mean another flight or sea journey as well as a local transfer. Coastal towns and inland or volcanic terrain can offer different reception conditions. Keep the next connection and receiving contact available offline rather than expecting the phone to stay connected between islands.
For this trip
Start with the actual islands on the booking: Moroni means Grande Comore, Mutsamudu means Anjouan and Fomboni means Mohéli. Confirm the plan's supported island territory, then choose validity for the whole stay and enough data for messages, transfer updates and shared devices. Neither a Comoros label nor reception in Moroni proves service along a sea crossing or at a rural address on another island.
Horizon sells the Comoros plans displayed here. This itinerary guidance is not an independent provider ranking; use the current product details to compare your options.
Confirm Grande Comore, Anjouan or Mohéli for each address and ask about supported territory before choosing an island connection.
Include the nights and travel days on both sides of the inter-island journey rather than counting only time at the final host's home.
Family devices and work uploads consume the same bundle as your phone, even when a day's travel leaves few chances to connect.

Check your phone's eSIM support and unlocked status, then install the Comoros profile using Wi-Fi before flying. For an arrival through Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport at Hahaya on Grande Comore, save the onward arrangement to Moroni or your actual host's address. On reaching Comoros, select the travel line for data and enable its roaming setting using the order instructions. Installing the profile does not start the validity period; it starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in Comoros. Keep later inter-island tickets outside any app that requires a fresh connection to display them.

Pick the profile closest to your trip. The estimate assumes normal use — maps, messaging, photos, a short call home.
As a rule of thumb, a 3–4 day city break runs on about 1–3 GB, a one-week trip on 3–5 GB, a two-week multi-country tour on 8–12 GB, and working on the road takes about 1 GB a day, so 15 GB or more for two weeks.
In total, a 10 GB data allowance covers roughly 3,300 shared photos, 167 hours of social media and browsing, 29 hours of video calls, 125 hours of music streaming, or about 2000 hours of maps and navigation. Messaging apps barely use data.
Moroni · City guide
Moroni is a starting point for administrative appointments and family visits on Grande Comore. The airport is at Hahaya, so record the pickup and the full city address before flying. A transfer to another settlement on the island needs its own directions rather than a general Moroni pin.
Moroni eSIM — set up before you flyMutsamudu · City guide
Mutsamudu is on Anjouan, across the water from Grande Comore. Establish the confirmed arrival point and receiving contact for Anjouan before leaving Moroni. Hilly terrain beyond the town can change reception, so agree how to meet if a final internet message cannot be sent.
Mutsamudu eSIM — set up before you flyFomboni · City guide
Fomboni is on Mohéli and cannot be reached by driving from the capital. A work or family itinerary should identify the island connection, the pickup on Mohéli and the final address as distinct details. Download the local map and any onward coastal directions before the transfer.
Fomboni eSIM — set up before you flyWhy Horizon
An allowance for a Moroni stay may need to cover family sharing or work files as well as transport updates. An inter-island itinerary adds booking checks and days away from your usual Wi-Fi. The service is data-only, and reception depends on the handset, terrain and local conditions. Ask about the supported islands when checking the offer. Mayotte is a separate service destination, and neither Madagascar nor Tanzania is included in a Comoros country plan.

It is at Hahaya on Grande Comore, the island where Moroni is located. If your host is in Mutsamudu on Anjouan or Fomboni on Mohéli, confirm the separate island connection and the receiving pickup before departure.
It does not establish reception at every village, road or shoreline. Confirm the supported island territory with Horizon for the itinerary you have booked, and prepare for gaps outside built-up areas even where the island is included.
Do not treat Mayotte as included. It is a separate destination for service coverage and requires an offer that explicitly lists it. Likewise, a connection through Madagascar or Tanzania needs coverage for that country separately.
Keep the crossing arrangements usable offline. Reception from land networks may drop away offshore, and the existence of a Comoros eSIM says nothing about a vessel's communications or whether a sailing is operating.
Hotspot sharing is free on every Horizon plan. A compatible handset with the correct settings shares one allowance with its connected devices. Horizon fixed-data plans have no throttling. Include shared uploads in the bundle choice and keep essential work files available offline.
Agree an internet messaging contact and the pickup procedure before your transfer. The eSIM is data-only and supplies no local number. Give the host enough arrival information to meet you if mobile reception is unavailable on the last stage.
No. Horizon fixed-data plans have no throttling. There is no daily limit that slows you down, so you can use your whole plan in one day if you need to. Your speed depends on the local network, your signal and how busy the network is. When your data allowance is used up, the plan stops rather than slowing down.
