Compare India eSIM plans for Delhi and Mumbai airports, intercity rail, Jaipur and Agra transfers. Check data, validity, territory, device support and total price.
An India itinerary can begin at Delhi Airport, use a different Mumbai-area airport, continue by train through the Golden Triangle or turn into Jaipur's old city. Those journeys do not share one terminal, station or pickup point. Use the live flight record, airport and rail operator pages, and current visitor guidance for the exact leg. Keep the terminal, PNR, boarding station, accommodation address and a backup route offline before moving on.

Prepare the eSIM on stable Wi-Fi while the order message and plan instructions are available on another device. Check whether installation, activation or a specified first supported connection starts validity, because product rules differ. When the instructions say to begin, select the India eSIM for mobile data and apply only the stated roaming setting. Keep automatic data switching to the home SIM off unless you intend to use it, and save support details before leaving Wi-Fi.

Scan the QR or auto-install in the app — no physical SIM.
Data activates on first connection at your destination.
Pick the profile closest to your trip. The estimate assumes normal use — maps, messaging, photos, a short call home.
As a rule of thumb, a 3–4 day city break runs on about 1–3 GB, a one-week trip on 3–5 GB, a two-week multi-country tour on 8–12 GB, and working on the road takes about 1 GB a day, so 15 GB or more for two weeks.
In total, a 5 GB data allowance covers roughly 1,700 shared photos, 83 hours of social media and browsing, 15 hours of video calls, 63 hours of music streaming, or about 1000 hours of maps and navigation. Messaging apps barely use data.
Delhi Airport (DEL) · City guide
Delhi Airport uses T1 and T2 for domestic operations, while T3 handles domestic and international operations, but the latest flight information determines the assignment. Check that terminal again before travel. If the next step needs an inter-terminal shuttle or ground pickup, verify current eligibility, pickup location and destination with the airport or operator. Save the airport code, terminal, pickup instructions and final address offline; do not assume mobile data will be available at the gate.
Delhi Airport (DEL) eSIM — set up before you fly →Mumbai Airports (BOM, NMI) · City guide
Mumbai's metropolitan area has separate airports: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport uses code BOM, with T1 for domestic and T2 for domestic and international operations; Navi Mumbai International Airport uses code NMI and its airline information currently points passengers to T1. Verify the airport code, airline terminal and any eligible transfer on live pages because they can change. NMI is a different ground journey, not another BOM terminal. Save the code, terminal, pickup point and destination address offline.
Mumbai Airports (BOM, NMI) eSIM — set up before you fly →Jaipur–Amber Route · City guide
Treat Jaipur Airport (JAI), the walled-city address and Amber Palace in Amer as separate points. Rajasthan Tourism places Amber outside the main city, so a route ending in central Jaipur is not the final approach. Check current official or operator information for the bus, car or auto-rickshaw leg, fare or ticket method and return arrangements. Before leaving Wi-Fi, save the airport code, exact entrance, booking or ticket, driver meeting point and return plan offline.
Jaipur–Amber Route eSIM — set up before you fly →Golden Triangle Rail Route · City guide
On a Delhi–Agra–Jaipur rail or road leg, the station, monument entrance and hotel are separate destinations. Check the live IRCTC PNR, train, boarding station and schedule rather than relying on an old screenshot. For the Taj Mahal or Agra Fort, use current Archaeological Survey of India guidance for access and visitor controls. Save the ticket, required identity document details, station name, driver contact, exact entrance and return arrangement offline; a mobile connection cannot rescue a missed boarding point.
Golden Triangle Rail Route eSIM — set up before you fly →Why Horizon
A suitable data plan helps you retrieve the latest terminal assignment, check an IRCTC journey, send a driver the exact address and retrieve a stored ticket. It does not prove that a shuttle or admission is included, replace identity documents, or remove the need for offline copies. Compare the plan's listed territory, data allowance, validity rule, tethering, calls and texts, device support and total price before purchase.

Choose country, regional or global coverage and check every destination in the plan details.
Treat an India-only plan as valid only in the territory named in its product details. Do not assume Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka or Pakistan is included. A national label also does not promise service on every remote mainland route or island. For a border crossing or unusual destination, verify the exact country and listed territory before purchase and retain offline essentials.
Use only the network, radio technology and speed information stated for the exact plan you are considering. Availability can vary with location, congestion, device bands, settings and local conditions, so a network label is not a promise of continuous service. Compare the product fields before purchase and download essential routes, tickets and addresses instead of relying on a particular connection.
Installation and validity are separate questions. Install on stable Wi-Fi only when the plan instructions permit it, and keep the QR code or order details accessible elsewhere. Then check the exact product rule to learn whether validity begins at installation, activation or a stated first supported connection. Do not infer the start event from another destination or plan.
Do not plan around continuous reception on long rail or road sections, in rural areas, inside buildings or around crowded transport hubs. Before departure, save the IRCTC PNR, train and boarding station, offline maps, accommodation address, driver details and a safe fallback meeting point. Recheck the live schedule while a connection is available, but keep the trip usable if it disappears.
Check each feature in the exact plan details. Internet-based apps can provide messaging and app-based calls, but that is not the same as ordinary voice service, SMS, an Indian phone number or receiving bank and service OTP codes. Hotspot support and top-up options are also product-specific. Your home line is separate and may create roaming charges if left active for voice, text or data.
While on Wi-Fi, confirm the India eSIM is enabled and selected for mobile data, data switching to the home SIM is off, and the roaming and APN settings match the plan guide. Restart the phone or toggle airplane mode, then try any manual network step named in that guide. Record error messages and contact support with the order reference and location. Do not delete the profile unless support confirms it can be restored.
