Cancún Airport uses Terminals 2, 3 and 4 for passenger services, and ground transport leaves from specific terminals. Along the Riviera Maya, Cancún Airport, Playa del Carmen and Tulum are separate stops on the Maya Train route. Cozumel adds a ferry and its own pier, while cenote visits often add a road pickup. Use data to check the current operator, departure point and ticket, then save all three. A timetable or city pin cannot cover the final shuttle, boat and accommodation entrance, so keep the return sequence offline too.

How do I choose a Mexico eSIM plan?

When does a Mexico eSIM start?
Adding the profile at home does not begin the Mexico validity. The purchased period starts when that profile makes its first successful connection in Mexico. Keep the QR record away from the handset and save the next terminal, hotel or driver details before each long leg.
Do I need a new eSIM between Mexico City and Cancún?
No. If the same Mexico plan still has data and validity, keep its installed profile when you fly or continue to Cancún, Riviera Maya or Guadalajara. Does the Mexico eSIM include calls, SMS and hotspot?
Horizon plans for Mexico are data-only. They do not provide a Mexican phone number, ordinary mobile calls or SMS. WhatsApp and other internet calling apps work through the data allowance when service is available. Hotspot sharing is free on every Horizon plan. Your phone must support the feature, and connected devices consume the same allowance.
Should I choose Mexico-only or Latin America coverage?
Choose Mexico-only when every mobile-data day stays in Mexico. Compare Latin America coverage when the same trip also enters Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, El Salvador or Uruguay. The regional plan covers those ten countries including Mexico. It does not include Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua or Panama, so those stops need another plan or offline preparation.
What should I do if my Mexico eSIM has no data?
If data fails at AICM, in Cancún or before a Riviera Maya road or ferry stage, move onto available Wi-Fi and check that the Mexico profile—not the home line—owns mobile data. Revisit this product's activation, roaming, APN and permitted network-selection steps without deleting the eSIM.
