Compare Turks and Caicos eSIM plans for Grace Bay on Providenciales, the ferry islands of North and Middle Caicos, the capital on Grand Turk and the whale-watching waters around Salt Cay. Size the data to the island hops, then confirm that the offer names the Turks and Caicos itself.
The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory of low limestone islands south-east of the Bahamas, in the same Lucayan Archipelago but under a separate government. The Caicos group includes Providenciales, where most visitors stay, and the quieter North, Middle and South Caicos; the smaller Turks group, across a deep channel, holds Grand Turk, with the capital, Cockburn Town, and Salt Cay. Providenciales International takes most flights. The US dollar is the currency, and traffic drives on the left, often in left-hand-drive cars.

Install the Turks and Caicos profile at home over Wi-Fi and keep the order details somewhere other than the phone. Providenciales International sits in the middle of the island, a short drive from Grace Bay, so there is little time to fix settings before the hotel. After landing, switch the travel line on, choose it for mobile data and enable data roaming for that line. The validity period does not begin at installation: it begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Save the North Caicos ferry times and any boat-tour meeting point offline before you go.

As a rule of thumb, a 3–4 day city break runs on about 1–3 GB, a one-week trip on 3–5 GB, a two-week multi-country tour on 8–12 GB, and working on the road takes about 1 GB a day, so 15 GB or more for two weeks.
In total, a 10 GB data allowance covers roughly 3,300 shared photos, 167 hours of social media and browsing, 29 hours of video calls, 125 hours of music streaming, or about 2000 hours of maps and navigation. Messaging apps barely use data.
Providenciales · City guide
Providenciales, known locally as Provo, is the busiest island and holds most of the hotels, restaurants and villas. Grace Bay Beach runs along its north shore, with the reef offshore protected inside Princess Alexandra National Park, and Long Bay on the south-east side is a favourite for kitesurfing. Chalk Sound National Park, a turquoise lagoon dotted with tiny islets, lies to the west. Boat trips leave for Little Water Cay, home to protected rock iguanas. Taxis are the main way around, so save a driver's number.
Providenciales eSIM — set up before you flyNorth Caicos · City guide
North Caicos is reached by a short ferry ride from Leeward on Providenciales, and it feels far quieter, with farms, ponds where flamingos sometimes gather and the ruins of the Wade's Green plantation. A causeway connects it to Middle Caicos, where the Conch Bar Caves wind through the limestone and the cliffs at Mudjin Harbour overlook a striking beach. Hire a car at the ferry landing to explore both, and save the route and the last ferry back before setting off, as services on these islands are sparse.
North Caicos eSIM — set up before you flyGrand Turk · City guide
Grand Turk is the historic capital island, with Cockburn Town's Front Street lined by old Bermudian-style buildings and the Turks and Caicos National Museum, which displays finds from the early Molasses Reef wreck. A cast-iron lighthouse stands at the northern tip, and the cruise centre at the southern end brings large ships through the week. Wall diving starts just offshore. Domestic flights from Providenciales are short, and taxis meet them, so save the driver's contact and the return flight time.
Grand Turk eSIM — set up before you flySalt Cay · City guide
Salt Cay, south of Grand Turk, is a tiny island where abandoned salt ponds and windmills recall the industry that once shaped the territory, and only a small community lives there today. From roughly January to April, humpback whales pass through the deep channel nearby on their migration, and whale-watching trips leave from the island. It is reached by a small ferry or plane from Grand Turk, with services that can change at short notice, so confirm the return trip and save it before crossing.
Salt Cay eSIM — set up before you flyWhy Horizon
A Grace Bay week is mostly beach, restaurants and the occasional boat trip, while a route that adds North and Middle Caicos, Grand Turk or Salt Cay brings ferries, small planes and rental cars on quiet islands. A cruise call at Grand Turk is a matter of hours. Count the days you will spend in the territory, including arrival and departure, before choosing the validity, and check that the offer names the Turks and Caicos Islands. The Bahamas, though close, is a separate country with its own check.

No. The two belong to the same chain of islands, the Lucayan Archipelago, but the Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory, while the Bahamas is an independent country with its own government and border controls. A plan written for the Turks and Caicos covers the Turks and Caicos, so for a trip that also includes Nassau or Exuma, read the destination list on the offer and either choose one that names both, or carry a separate plan for the Bahamas.
Usually by a short domestic flight, as the two islands sit on opposite sides of a deep channel and there is no regular passenger ferry between them. Flights also connect Providenciales with North and South Caicos, and a ferry runs from Providenciales to North Caicos. On Grand Turk, a small ferry and occasional flights continue to Salt Cay. Schedules can change with the weather and the season, so confirm departures close to the date and keep the bookings saved offline.
Yes, if you start early. The ferry from Leeward on Providenciales reaches North Caicos in a short crossing, and a rental car waiting at the landing lets you drive across the causeway to Middle Caicos for the Conch Bar Caves and the cliffs at Mudjin Harbour. Distances are not long, but services are sparse and the last ferry back sets the end of the day. Book the car and the ferry together, and save the timetable and the route offline before you leave Provo.
Roughly from January to April, humpback whales migrate through the Turks Island Passage, the deep channel between the Caicos and Turks groups, on their way to and from their breeding grounds. Salt Cay and Grand Turk are the usual bases for whale-watching trips, and some operators also run tours from Providenciales. Sightings are never certain and trips depend on sea conditions, so book with a licensed operator, follow their rules for approaching whales and save the meeting point offline.
The Atlantic season runs from 1 June to 30 November, and the islands lie in the path of many storms: Hurricanes Irma and Maria both affected them in September 2017. Because the islands are low-lying, storm surge and flooding matter as much as wind. The drier winter and spring months are the main season for visitors. For a late-summer or autumn trip, choose flexible bookings, follow official forecasts before departure and follow local instructions if a storm approaches.
Not for a stay on Grace Bay, where many restaurants and shops are within walking distance and taxis are easy to book. A car helps for Chalk Sound, Long Bay and the island's quieter beaches, and it is close to essential on North and Middle Caicos. Traffic drives on the left, though many cars are left-hand drive, and roundabouts are common. Taxis are the usual choice in the evening, so save a driver's number for the return and keep your accommodation address offline.
Open water, the outer reefs and the uninhabited cays are where a phone is most likely to lose its signal, and the outcome varies with the device, the plan and the exact spot, so it is not necessarily a fault. Back on land, check that the travel line is switched on, selected for mobile data and has data roaming enabled, then restart the phone if needed. For boat days, save the operator's meeting point, return time and a map offline, and keep the phone in a waterproof pouch.
No. Horizon fixed-data plans have no throttling. There is no daily limit that slows you down, so you can use your whole plan in one day if you need to. Your speed depends on the local network, your signal and how busy the network is. When your data allowance is used up, the plan stops rather than slowing down.
Yes. We always refund the full amount you paid when you request it, whether your eSIM is unused, partly used or fully used. There is no time limit for requesting a refund.
