You land in New York, switch off airplane mode and open the map to your hotel. That first connection should be one of the smaller expenses of the trip.
For 10 GB of USA data over 30 days, Horizon lists $10.96. Airalo lists $22.50 and Saily $22.99. Nomad and Ubigi sit closer, at $13 and $14. Those are the USD prices checked on 3 November 2026, before coupon codes or account rewards.
Horizon is a newer travel eSIM brand from Prishtina, Kosovo. Its store opened in 2026, and its case for a place beside the familiar names is straightforward: lower prices on the matched plans below, free hotspot sharing and human help when you need it. Customer reviews add another reason to look.
Horizon publishes this comparison and sells the plans linked here. Prices are a dated snapshot; the best choice also depends on your route and how you use data.
USA eSIM prices for 10 GB over 30 days
Every row below is a prepaid, fixed-data plan with 10 GB total and 30-day validity. All prices are in US dollars.
| Provider | 10 GB / 30 days | Extra cost versus Horizon |
|---|---|---|
| Horizon | $10.96 | — |
| Nomad | $13.00 | $2.04 |
| Ubigi | $14.00 | $3.04 |
| Airalo | $22.50 | $11.54 |
| Saily | $22.99 | $12.03 |
Horizon is 51.3% less than Airalo and 52.3% less than Saily for these matched allowances and validity periods. The calculation uses each competitor’s listed price as the baseline. It compares the cost of data, not measured network performance.
For two travelers buying one 10 GB plan each, the totals are $21.92 at Horizon, $45 at Airalo and $45.98 at Saily. That leaves $23.08 or $24.06 in the trip budget.
Holafly takes a different approach: its USA duration table lists unlimited data at $27.50 for 7 days or $73.90 for 30 days. Those plans belong in the decision, but they are a different product from a 10 GB allowance.
Smaller trips can start at $5.58 for 5 GB
A week of restaurant searches, transit apps and messages may need much less data than a week of video calls. If 5 GB suits your usage, Horizon’s 5 GB / 30-day USA plan lists $5.58. Matching 5 GB / 30-day plans are $9 at Nomad, $13.50 at Airalo and $13.99 at Saily.
Choose from your own habits. Save streaming, cloud backups and large downloads for Wi-Fi, then check your phone’s recent mobile-data use. Our USA data guide helps you plan the allowance around the trip.
How a newer eSIM provider competes on price
Horizon’s company page explains the business: we buy connectivity plans wholesale, set our retail prices and handle the store, delivery and support ourselves. The business is run by LuShen L.L.C. in Prishtina.
Horizon’s current USA plan page lists AT&T USA and Verizon USA, with 5G support. A new retail brand can therefore offer access to established US networks. The network names describe supported access; they do not promise a signal everywhere or a particular download speed.
For travelers, the useful change is the price attached to that access. The $10.96 plan gives someone comparing Airalo and Saily a substantially cheaper option at the same data allowance and validity. It also comes with these Horizon policies:
- Free hotspot sharing on every plan. Your laptop or travel companion uses the same purchased data pool.
- Horizon fixed-data plans have no throttling. Use the allowance at your own pace. When it is exhausted, service stops; a new plan or an eligible top-up adds more data.
- Validity starts at the destination. The clock begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network there. Unused plans have no first-use deadline.
- Full refund on request, used or unused. There is no request deadline. We verify the purchase and return the payment under our refund policy.
Is Horizon reliable? Read the customer experience
On 3 November 2026, Horizon’s Trustpilot profile showed a 4.8 out of 5 TrustScore from 74 reviews. That is a company-wide score covering different destinations.
One review speaks directly to a US trip. Egzona’s review, dated 31 August 2026, describes easy setup and says:
“The internet was fast, reliable, and very affordable.”
Other reviews describe the moments when support mattered. Mac Scott’s September review says Horizon helped immediately with problems affecting his wife’s eSIMs. Glarks’ October review describes helpful support while resolving an issue and a positive experience with the eSIM afterward. You can read these customer accounts on the Trustpilot profile.
Those experiences are encouraging, especially when considering a newer brand. They are individual reports, rather than a nationwide coverage test. On a road trip, reception still depends on the location, terrain, device and local network conditions. Download maps and reservations before heading into remote areas.
Horizon offers 24/7 human support in all languages, with guaranteed instant replies. A prompt reply gets help started; resolving a particular connection problem may take longer.
Choose for the route, then install before departure
For a city stay with evenings on Wi-Fi, start by comparing the 5 GB and 10 GB options. For remote work, count laptop use as well as the phone. For a stay longer than a month, pay particular attention to the expiry window.
A USA plan should not be assumed to cover Canada, Mexico or every US territory. Check each stop against the selected plan’s coverage list.
Before paying, confirm that your phone is eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked. Install on reliable Wi-Fi before you travel, following the USA setup guide. At arrival, select Horizon for mobile data and enable roaming on that line. Keep data roaming off on your home line; its carrier can still charge for calls, texts or data you use there.

How we checked the comparison
Prices and reviews were checked on 3 November 2026. Editorial review owner: Lurian Kasumaj, Horizon eSIM. The provider links lead to the official product pages used for the comparison.
Horizon, Airalo and Saily were checked with USD selected. Nomad and Ubigi published the quoted USD prices; Holafly’s quoted prices come from its USD duration table. Horizon’s figures use its standard listed prices before partner discounts. Coupon codes, referral discounts, subscriptions and cashback are excluded.
The main table matches data allowance and validity. Different durations, unlimited products and additional features are described separately. Prices and offers can change, so confirm the selected currency and final checkout total before buying. Trustpilot’s score and review count can change too.
