Install the Balkans eSIM on Wi-Fi before departure; there is no separate manual activation step. Keep the line off until the first included country. Its first successful connection to a supported network activates the package and begins the validity period selected at checkout. Choose Horizon for mobile data and enable roaming on that line. At later road borders, leave the profile installed and allow time for the local-network handoff. Keep data roaming and automatic data switching off on the home line, which may see a network across the frontier.

Keep route updates, accommodation details and messages on the travel-data line while preserving the home SIM separately where the device supports two lines. If most of the visit is in one destination, compare its dedicated plan; hotspot availability and other plan rules must be checked on the exact offer selected. The practical appeal is that a single allowance and a single validity period follow the destinations the package's own list names, instead of a separate profile and a separate expiry date for every country on the itinerary.

Yes. One regional eSIM is useful on a road trip through several included countries because it stays installed while the phone changes to a supported local network after each border. Near a frontier the phone may see a network from the other side — a Bosnian network can appear around Dubrovnik, for example. Bosnia and Croatia are both included, but keep Horizon selected for mobile data and turn off data roaming and automatic data switching on the home line. If that line uses a foreign network, the home operator may charge for it.

Leave the eSIM installed and let the device search automatically for an available local network at an included destination. If registration takes longer, verify that Horizon remains selected for data and that roaming is enabled on that line, then restart before choosing a network manually. Allow a few minutes past the barrier before deciding something is wrong, since the network name in the status bar usually changes first. If nothing appears at all, reopen the package details and confirm that the country you have just entered is on its destination list.
If the phone supports two active lines, you may keep the home SIM for calls and messages while selecting Horizon for mobile data. The home operator may charge for roaming activity. Disable mobile data and data roaming on the home line to reduce accidental use.
