Global eSIM for multi-region itineraries

Compare Global eSIM plans by their exact destination list, data allowance, validity rule and checkout total. A global label supports broad itineraries, but it never means that every country is included.

A Global eSIM can suit a trip that crosses continents, a sequence of work assignments, or an itinerary that may change after departure. Treat the plan name as a starting point, then match every airport, country and territory on your route to the selected package. Also check whether one allowance is shared between destinations, when its validity begins, and what you will do during any stop that is not listed.

How eSIM works in Global

Write down the full route before purchase and open the selected plan’s destination list rather than relying on the word global. Compare allowance, duration, activation trigger and any first-use deadline, then install over reliable Wi-Fi when the instructions permit. Keep the QR or manual details and key addresses offline; at each listed stop, select the eSIM for mobile data and follow only that package’s roaming and network instructions.

  1. Buy a plan

Pick a destination, data allowance and validity period.

  2. Install your eSIM

Scan the QR or auto-install in the app — no physical SIM.

  3. Land & connect

Data activates on first connection at your destination.

What you can do with 5 GB

In total, a 5 GB data allowance covers roughly 1,700 shared photos, 83 hours of social media and browsing, 15 hours of video calls, 63 hours of music streaming, or about 1000 hours of maps and navigation. Messaging apps barely use data.

Why Horizon

Choose breadth only when the route needs it

The practical benefit is keeping one profile for several listed regions while plans, bookings and time zones change around you. That convenience should be weighed against a regional or country plan that may fit a shorter route more closely. Confirm each stop, the shared-balance rules, phone compatibility and support path; keep your home line’s data roaming off because calls or texts on that line may still create carrier charges.

  • Better plans, built for real trips

Compare the listed data allowances and validity periods for your destination.

  • Easy to use

Install over reliable Wi-Fi before departure and follow the plan's activation instructions.

  • Compare the full plan

Review the current price, data, validity, coverage and fair-use terms before checkout.

  • Reuse an eligible eSIM

When the selected plan supports reuse or top-ups, My eSIMs shows the eligible options for the installed profile.

  • Stay connected

We'll alert you as you approach your limit. If the plan supports a top-up, My eSIMs shows the eligible options.

  • Global & regional plans

Choose country, regional or global coverage and check every destination in the plan details.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Global eSIM include every country?

No. Global is a product category, not a universal coverage promise. Use the exact destination list attached to the selected package and verify every country, territory and airport stop before payment, because similarly named plans can contain different combinations.

Can one profile and data balance follow the whole route?

The same installed profile can be used at destinations included in its package. Check whether the allowance is shared, whether separate daily rules apply and whether validity continues while you move; changing countries does not reset data or extend the stated duration unless the terms say so.

What happens at a destination that is not listed?

Do not expect the package to provide mobile data there. The profile can remain installed, but prepare another listed country or regional plan, trusted Wi-Fi, or an offline route before arrival. Keep tickets, accommodation details, support instructions and the next connection available without mobile service.

When is a regional or country eSIM a better fit?

Choose by itinerary rather than by the broadest label. A country plan can fit a single destination, while a regional plan can match a cluster of nearby stops with clearer scope. Compare their listed coverage, allowance, duration, activation rule and final total with the global option before deciding.

Does the Global eSIM include calls, texts or a phone number?

Read the selected package details; a travel eSIM may be data-only unless telephony is explicitly included. On a compatible dual-line phone, your home SIM can remain available for calls or texts while the eSIM handles data, but the home carrier may charge for roaming activity.

When does validity start, and are hotspot or top-ups included?

Those rules belong to the exact package. Before installation, check whether validity begins at installation, activation or first supported connection, plus any first-use deadline. Verify hotspot, fair-use and top-up availability separately; do not assume that another Global plan follows the same terms.
